Capture a beautiful winter scene in a lantern. Look at the glow and the silhouettes. I've come up with a really easy way to make this craft, come and see!
I love lanterns and lantern crafts. I also love winter! I thought I'll combine both of these to create a magical winter lantern. I really like how this turned out, and the soft glow is really beautiful and makes you feel warm in this cold winter!
I've made some lanterns before in jars, so you can also do it in a jar. I have also used other methods like tissue paper, spray painting the glass with 'frosted glass effect' etc, but this is by far the cheapest, quickest and most effective method.
I put the scene together using silhouettes from the internet. You can choose whatever you like and design your scene however you choose. This craft can be applied for many other seasons, like valentines, wedding decor etc. Just change the silhouettes accordingly of course! Let's get started!
What you will need:
- A lantern. You can also use a jar.
- Silhouettes from the internet, just search what you want and print. We used: A polar bear, stars-big & small, deer, and a tree. We cut a bit of black card to make snow for the silhouettes to stand on.
- Scissors, pencil, ruler.
- Translucent paper.
- LED candle lights.
