We're going to show you how to recycle old carrier bags by making cute squishy characters! They're easy, fun, cheap, and the kids love them!
In this DIY craft tutorial, you will learn how to make a cute sushi roll from a plastic bag and some tape. The duck tape holds all the air in, which makes your little character easy to squish! It's so much fun, and you will most likely have everything you need for the project at home. It's an easy craft project that kids can do, and they'll have fun playing with their homemade squishies too! This squishy uses no foam like most tend to do, it's a quick and cheap alternative that some people like to make.
We created two faces on each side of our sushi. One is a happy friendly face, the other is a evil laughing face! You can try making two faces too! Maybe a sleepy face and then an angry face, or a happy face and then a sad face. You can make other foods and characters, use different colours, and even try other things to make the main body of the squishy; like bubble wrap or cushion stuffing, they work equally as well!
What you will need:
- Plastic carrier bag.
- Masking tape/ duck tape. Black, white and red are the colours I used.
- Deco tapes for additional detail like the blush.
