Today's craft is a natural beauty. It's classy, elegant, yet cheap and super easy to make. Come and make this gorgeous wooden craft featuring a winter/Xmas scene.
Sometimes simple is more. It certainly is with today's DIY craft project. I have seen so many of these kind of things being sold in Christmas markets and little shops featuring handmade items, usually costing around £15. I thought why spend that much when I can make this myself?! So, I put everything together to show you how to make something like this too. It really makes the best handcrafted gifts and home decor. I love miniature crafts but haven't made many yet, so I was happy to finally get round to making one!
Now, I wanted the natural wood detailing to show and therefore chose not to paint the majority of this piece. I painted the moon, and the stag is painted a light white with some glitter on already (though the camera did not pick this up well). So I left the base and the tree plain. I even experimented off camera and coloured the tree in, but my judgement of leaving it plain was correct. You can however choose to paint yours or decorate as you wish, it is up to each and everyone's individual taste.
I hope you like this project, it's super quick to make! Kids can use PVA glue to stick the embellishments down, paint them and even add glitter to them. Let's get started!
What you will need:
- Wooden embellishments- Stag, tree, moon, & base.
- Wire & pliers to cut it.
- Acrylic pen painters.
- Hot glue gun.
